Hike from Saut Bras de Fort to Goyave, Guadeloupe


Located in the commune of Goyave, on the island of Basse-Terre in Guadeloupe, the Saut de Bras de Fort waterfall is a short but immersive hike, perfect for nature and fresh water lovers.


This 2.3-kilometer round-trip trail takes you through farmland, lush green meadows, and tropical rainforest before reaching a natural pool.


Route and Access


From Pointe-à-Pitre, take the N1 towards Basse-Terre, then turn onto Route de Moreau in Goyave. The trailhead is located near the road, with several parking spots available along the path.


Trail Description


The Saut de Bras de Fort trail starts in an agricultural zone, then enters a dense forest with some slippery sections, especially after rain. The terrain is slightly technical, with a few downhill parts. The final section follows the river to the waterfall, where you’ll find a natural pool and the cascade — ideal for relaxing or swimming.
